What is a subject and predicate?

Generally, we use to speak and write sentences.  In which, each sentence has two parts. One is Subject and another one is predicate.  In a sentence, the part about which we are speaking about and the second part which tells about the subject is called predicate. 

Read the following sentences and understand the subject and predicate:

* The sun rises in the east

* He has a good memory

* My brother fired a bullet into the air

* All the planets revolve around the sun

* You stand on the chair

* sit down

* Thank her

* you thank her

What is a sentence? Types of sentences.....

1) Sentence Meaning

2) Interrogative sentence

3) Imperative sentence

4) Exclamatory sentence


                 Sentence is one which makes a complete sense, .....Rohith got 99 marks in Mathematics.

Which gives a complete meaning.

Interrogative Sentence:    When we find a question sense....that is a sentence which asks a question.

Ex: Where are you going?

Imperative/Declarative Sentence: A sentence that makes a statement.  


Exclamatory sentence: When we understand that the sentence expresses a strong feeling, the sentence is Exclamatory sentence.
